The MedCline Advanced Positioning Wedge can be purchased on its own for those who require their own specialty head pillow or already sleep with a full-length body pillow. For maximum relief, we recommend the full MedCline Reflux Relief System as the MedCline Therapeutic Body Pillow is important to ensure side sleeping (so you can't roll to your back during the night). While sleeping at an angle, it is also important to sleep with the long limb of a body (or smaller) pillow between your knees for added comfort.
To be used with your own head or body pillow, the Advanced Positioning Wedge offers its patented arm pocket that keeps you from sliding down during the night, while removing pressure from your downside arm and shoulder. The inclined + left side sleeping position created only by MedCline products has been validated in 5 independent clinical trials to be the most effective for 100% natural relief from heartburn, regurgitation, coughing, choking, nausea, and the many other distressing symptoms of acid reflux/GERD, as well as providing protection from prolonged acid exposure...all while you sleep!
The Advanced Positioning Wedge takes up ½ of a queen-size bed (30” wide) and, while the left side is typically best for reflux relief, the Advanced Positioning Wedge can be used on your left or right side.
Key features of the MedCline Advanced Positioning Wedge include:
Clinically proven position for superior relief. Clinical trials performed by the top GI researchers nationwide show that sleeping in the position created only by MedCline (inclined + left side) reduces exposure to harmful stomach acid by 87% compared to a standard bed wedge. MedCline has been clinically proven to provide significant symptom reduction for patients suffering with nocturnal reflux, laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) or “silent reflux” patients, post-esophagectomy, and gestational reflux.
You won't slide down during the night. The patented arm pocket at the top of the MedCline Advanced Positioning Wedge keeps you from sliding down during the night, which is one of the primary complaints with a bed wedge. By not sliding down, you can take full advantage the inclined + side sleeping position for maximum relief from nighttime acid reflux/GERD, all night long.
Sleep comfortably on your side. The patented arm pocket of the Advanced Positioning Wedge not only prevents you from sliding down but it takes the pressure off your downside arm and shoulder.
Inclines your entire torso, not just head and neck. Unlike many standard wedges, the MedCline Advanced Positioning Wedge inclines your entire torso, not just your head and neck, for maximum ergonomic support and effectiveness.
Medical-grade materials for quality, support and longevity. Most standard bed wedges are just a singular foam cut into a triangle. The MedCline Advanced Positioning Wedge is constructed with four types of medical-grade foam, strategically placed for maximum support and product longevity. The top layer of the Advanced Positioning Wedge is memory foam for added comfort.
Plush removable and washable case installed. The MedCline Advanced Positioning Wedge comes with a removable case installed, which is machine washable.
Use your own favorite head or body pillow. The smaller insert pillow is not intended to be used as a head pillow. Just place your own favorite head pillow on top of the insert pillow and you are ready for sleep.
Relief Guarantee. Adjusting to a new sleep position can take some time. It can take new users up to 30 nights to adjust as the foam breaks in and you make the adjustment to sleeping a new way. We can assure you the relief will come, if you stick with it! As part of our return policy, we require that you try MedCline for at least 30 nights. If after 30-night trial period, MedCline is not providing you relief at night, you are able to return it for the purchase price, minus a 10% recycling fee.
MedCline is not recommended for lower back or hip injuries. MedCline creates a 15 -20 degree angle so those with herniated disks, compounded disks, bulging disks, fused vertebrae, scoliosis, or lumbar damage, arthritic hips, bursitis in the hips, or hip injuries often find it difficult to tolerate the angle that MedCline creates.
The MedCline Advanced Positioning Wedge is available in three sizes. Please select the appropriate size based on your height as comfort and effectiveness are dependent on a proper fit with your torso. Should you have any questions about which size to order, please give us a call at 800-610-1607.
